Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a reservation?
While walk-ins are welcomed with open arms (and a curtsy if the spirit strikes us), a reservation ensures your party is guaranteed a spot and avoids any waiting. We do tend to book up on busy weekends—so if you fancy smooth sailing, we recommend securing your time in advance.

How long is a session?
Why, quicker than a horse-drawn carriage to the general store! Most sessions run 25–30 minutes from “how-do-you-do” to “ta-da!” Larger groups or extra costume changes may require a touch more time.

Can I bring my children and/or my beloved pet?
Indeed! Children are most heartily welcomed—we adore wee gigglers and tiny time-travelers.
As for furry family members, well-mannered pets are welcome, provided they remain leashed, calm, and agreeable to the spotlight. (Treat bribes encouraged.)

What should I wear?
Simply come as you are! Our costumers will dress you in Broadway-quality garments that fit right over your clothing. We recommend light, comfortable attire to make costume-fitting a breeze. If wearing a hat atop a towering hairstyle is a concern—fear not—our stylists are magicians.

How many fine folks can join a session?
Our sets can comfortably host up to 6 guests per session. Have a larger troupe or family reunion? We can accommodate bigger parties with a bit of advance notice—simply contact us and we’ll prepare the parlor for your grand arrival.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit/debit cards and good old-fashioned U.S. currency. Bartering goats, homemade pies, or dowries, alas, are no longer part of our accepted tender.

When do I receive my portrait?
Straightaway! Your glorious 8"x10" keepsake is printed on-site before you depart. Should you fall in love with more than one (and many do), digital images of the full session may be purchased as well.
